The Day of industrial safety was held at Harasan-2 mine of “Baiken-U” LLP.
All departments of the mine prepared stands with basic indicators of labor protection, radiation safety and environmental protection (HES&RS) for the Day of Industrial safety, including indicators of identifying potentially dangerous situations, conducting behavioral safety audits.
Commission inspection of all sites was carried out and it covered issues about the status of equipment, safety at workplace, separate sorting of waste by types, availability of special containers and their marking, cleanliness of areas, status of fire safety, and use of PPE by employees. Statuses of introduction of lean production elements and 5S system were also inspected.
Also, children's drawings competition was held on the topic "Ore protection through children`s eyes ", an educational training was conducted on introductory "Burning of vehicle" at vehicles and special equipment area with checking actions to eliminate fire, provide first aid and medical evacuation. Trainings were conducted to provide first aid for ABK employees at the mine and central office employees with involvement of experienced medical workers of “Interteach Clinic” LLP.
Contracting companies also took part in the Day of industrial safety program. They demonstrated in their stands information about the activities of the enterprise, security measures during the work at Harasan-2 mine area.
The competent commission and employee representative summed the results of the criteria for assessing status of HSE in production and supporting areas of the mine, the best division of the partnership for Industrial safety was determined based on objectivity and transparency.
The day of industrial safety was completed with a general meeting of Partnership employees, where RVR area was awarded the cup "The best division of "Baiken-U" LLP for production safety", APS and Instrumentation, CPPR areas were awarded with cups for achievements in industrial safety. Other departments of the mine were encouraged by memorable gifts. Workers differing in their commitment to security issues were encouraged by diplomas, letters of thanks and gifts. The children who took part in children's drawings contest were also given presents.
