Baiken-U LLP was incorporated on March 1, 2006. When the company was incorporated, the main objective was to conduct exploration and subsequent mining at Kharasan-2 Area and the southeastern flank of the North Kharasan field located in Kyzylorda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The founders of Baiken-U LLP are a consortium of Japanese energy companies Energy Asia Limited (95%) and NAC Kazatomprom JSC (5%).
This year Company celebrated its 14th anniversary, during its existence it had covered a distance from exploration to construction of the industrial area with a geotechnological testing field, an autonomous complex was built in the desert area, which includes a camp with a full range of personal services for employees, an Administrative and Household Facilities, a modern Physical-Chemical Laboratory with the latest equipment, two Uranium Processing Workshops, including a Productive Solution Processing Plant and a Refining Workshop, as well as a solar-powered power plant, which partially provides the electricity consumption of the Mine.
A new stage of development has begun not only for the enterprise, but for the entire region in Kyzylkum desert.
